The Secret City Festival was recently held in Oak Ridge, TN. This year the festival featured a WWII living history encampment as well as a small skirmish reinactment between Allied forces and German SS forces. After the skirmish, the public could walk through the battle area and the camps and get an up-close view of the period uniforms, vehicles, and camps for the soldiers. These reinactors spend a lot of effort getting the details accurate and it really is like stepping back into a living history.
